The star has been mentioned to display mild symbiotic activity in the literature (Smith et al., 1997; Jorissen et al., 2012, 2019). The IUE spectrum did not reveal a prominent contribution from the hot component according to Ake et al. (1988). In addition, X-ray emission from the star was detected by Jorissen et al. (1996). The orbital period of the star was determined to be 4596 days by Jorissen et al. (2019).
