Initially suspected to be an R CrB star, this object was subsequently reclassified as a potential symbiotic object by Kilkenny (1997). Further investigation by Mennickent et al. (2001) supported the symbiotic nature of the object; however, their spectrum lacked emission lines with higher ionization potential.
